Job summary

Zoom is seeking a senior security researcher at the intersection of offensive security and applied AI to surface critical risks across products, apps, services, and infrastructure. You will hypothesize, validate exploitability, and trace attack paths beyond standard testing with high autonomy and collaboration with Security Assurance teams.

With 5+ years in vulnerability research, you will guide investigations using AI-enabled workflows, develop custom tooling, and communicate findings clearly

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on vulnerability research or offensive security.
• Experience with AI-enabled security research workflows and model-based tooling.
• Deep technical expertise in web apps, APIs, cloud infrastructure, or operating systems.
• Strong programming and debugging skills with ability to build research tooling.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI to conduct vulnerability research across Zoom's products and infrastructure.
• Use threat analysis and architecture knowledge to guide investigations.
• Apply frontier/open-weight models and agents across the research lifecycle.
• Design and tune research harnesses with proper context and tools.
• Develop custom tooling, fuzzers, and proof-of-concept exploits.
• Convert model output into defensible security evidence with rigorous verification.
• Improve AI-driven research reliability by reducing false positives/negatives.
• Work with Engineering and Product Security to communicate findings and support remediation.
• Share tools and lessons learned with Security Assurance and the broader org.
