Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on vulnerability research or offensive security experience.
• Experience running offensive workflows with frontier/open-weight models.
• Deep expertise in at least one security domain (web apps/APIs, cloud, OS, etc.).
• Strong programming and debugging skills; ability to read unfamiliar code and build tools.
• Strong judgment on attack surface, exploitability, and security impact.

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI to conduct vulnerability research across Zoom’s products, applications, services, and infrastructure, focusing on high-impact issues and verified exploitability.
• Use target knowledge, threat analysis, and observed behavior to guide investigations.
• Apply frontier/open-weight models and agents across the research lifecycle: reconnaissance, analysis, hypothesis generation, exploit development, verification.
• Design and tune research harnesses to give models the right context, tools, and feedback.
• Develop custom tooling when needed to answer research questions (analysis utilities, fuzzers, exploits).
• Convert model output into defensible evidence by reproducing findings and ruling out false claims.
• Improve AI-driven research reliability by addressing false positives/negatives and nondeterminism.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Security to communicate findings and verify fixes.
• Share tools and lessons learned to enhance security processes with AI.
