Job summary

Bank of America in Austin, Texas seeks an experienced security professional to perform offensive security testing across diverse platforms. You will conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, red team exercises, and social engineering while documenting risk and remediation recommendations.

You will explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders, collaborate with Global Information Security and risk partners, and stay current with AI/LLM security challenges and emerging

Qualifications

• 7–10 years IT experience with 5 years focused on offensive security testing.
• Lead AI security testing engagements, including defining scope, test approach, and safe testing guardrails for emerging AI technologies.
• Must have an understanding of AI/LLM security concepts and attack techniques, including risks such as prompt injection and data exposure.
• Must understand how generative AI may be leveraged by threat actors and red teams to augment reconnaissance, social engineering, vulnerability research, code development, and other phases.
• Ability to evaluate AI-enabled systems from an adversarial perspective and identify potential attack paths and control weaknesses.
• Must have experience with common red team/penetration testing tools (Metasploit, Burp Suite, Cobalt Strike).
• Must have experience developing implants and detection-evasion techniques.
• Solid understanding of networks, operating systems, Active Directory, and MITRE ATT&CK TTPs.
• Knowledge of malicious insider activity and threat actors.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, red team operations, and social engineering campaigns.
• Document risk findings and remediation steps in clear reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Global Information Security, technical stakeholders, risk partners, and leadership to ensure risk is identified and remediated.
• Stay current on AI security risks and emerging attack techniques; translate technical findings for non-technical audiences.
