Job summary

EY seeks a senior security leader in the US to embed AI security across data, tools, and processes. You will work with product and engineering teams to prove controls under adversarial conditions, replacing one-off reviews with reusable patterns, measurable coverage, clear evidence, and rehearsed response methods.

This Challenger Core role emphasizes hands-on production security, threat modeling, and cross‑functional collaboration, with up to 50% travel and a hybrid office model for ambitious AI

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in security across product, cloud, or platform domains.
• Substantial experience securing production controls in modern applications and cloud environments.
• AI systems knowledge: generative and agentic AI including tool use and runtime behavior.
• Hands-on automation: building security tests, telemetry, or reference implementations.
• Threat modeling: ability to assess complex systems and map attack paths to controls.
• Production security: managing identities, data, networks, and software delivery pipelines.
• Cross-functional delivery: partnering with engineers and risk teams.
• Response experience: incident response and translating lessons into stronger controls.
• Agentic security: securing tool-using agents, AI gateways, or model-serving platforms.
• Travel and on-site: up to 50% travel, hybrid office requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set the security direction with reusable AI security patterns and threat models.
• Join builders early to identify attack paths and shape controls.
• Design scoped authority for identity, access, isolation, approvals, and recovery.
• Protect sensitive information by embedding security across data lifecycle.
• Secure the delivery path with automated tests, policy gates, and traceable changes.
• Test adversarially with red-team exercises and translate findings into tests.
• Build runtime protection using evidence and behavioral signals.
• Strengthen response with clear containment options and recovery actions.
• Advise on residual risk with concise technical recommendations.
• Build shared capability by creating reference implementations and reusable controls.
