Job summary

EY Challenger is seeking a security leader to embed defenses across AI-powered data, tools, and processes. You will partner with product and engineering teams to validate controls under adversarial conditions and turn findings into repeatable patterns and evidence.

In this role you’ll design practical security patterns, run automated tests, and help ensure safe deployment of AI capabilities across the enterprise. This hybrid role expects travel up to 50% in the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in security engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on ownership of production security controls across products and cloud.
• Ability to model threats and translate into concrete engineering actions.
• Experience securing modern apps, cloud environments, and data pipelines.
• Working understanding of generative/agentic AI, retrieval, and tool use.

Responsibilities

• Set the security direction with reusable AI security patterns.
• Join builders early to identify credible attack paths and shape controls.
• Design practical patterns for identity, access, and recovery.
• Embed security across the data lifecycle and delivery paths.
• Run automated security tests, policy gates, and trusted artifacts.
• Test adversarially and convert findings into repeatable tests and guidance.
