Job summary

EY is hiring for a Challenger role focused on embedding security across AI lifecycles. The candidate will defend agency with reusable security patterns, threat models, and evidence-based controls while collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Responsibilities include designing practical patterns, validating attack paths, protecting data, and integrating security into delivery pipelines. Travel up to 50% and hybrid office work are expected.

Qualifications

• Security engineering depth across application, cloud, platform, identity, data and software delivery security.
• AI threat judgment: model prompts, retrieval, agents, tools, users and external services to assess attack paths.
• Control engineering: translate threats into preventive, detective and responsive measures.
• Adversarial mindset: red teaming, reproducible testing, vulnerability analysis and incident learning.
• Automation: build security tests, telemetry, and reference components into delivery pipelines.
• Clear communication and product judgment to explain risk without drama.

Responsibilities

• Set the security direction. Own reusable AI security patterns, control objectives, reference architectures, and threat models.
• Join builders early. Identify credible attack paths and shape controls that fit the product and delivery model.
• Design scoped authority. Create patterns for identity, access, isolation, approvals, and recovery.
• Protect sensitive information. Embed security across the data lifecycle and monitor access.
• Secure the delivery path. Integrate automated security tests, policy gates, and safe rollback into workflows.
• Test adversarially. Run red-team exercises and convert findings into repeatable tests and patterns.
• Build runtime protection. Use evidence and signals to detect abnormal actions and exfiltration.
• Strengthen response. Support vulnerability triage and incidents with evidence and recovery actions.
• Advise on residual risk. Provide concise recommendations while keeping accountability with owners.
• Build shared capability. Create reference implementations and coach engineers.
• Travel and On‑Site: up to 50% travel and hybrid office work.
