Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Security Engineering role focused on embedding security into AI lifecycles. You will work with product and engineering teams to prove controls under adversarial conditions, replacing one-off reviews with reusable patterns and measurable coverage.

You will design practical patterns for identity, access, and recovery while safeguarding data confidentiality and integrity across the lifecycle. Heavy travel and hybrid office participation are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Substantial experience in product, application, cloud, platform, or detection security with hands-on ownership of production controls.
• Threat modeling of complex systems to practical engineering measures.
• Production security across modern apps, cloud, identities, data, networks, and pipelines.
• AI systems knowledge: generative and agentic AI incl. retrieval, model access, tool use, evaluation, runtime behavior.
• Hands-on automation: building/extending security tests, telemetry, controls, or adversarial assessments.
• Response experience: supporting vulnerability or incident response and translating lessons into stronger controls.
• Cross-functional delivery: partnering with engineers and risk functions while preserving user value.
• Travel up to 50% and hybrid office accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Set the security direction with reusable AI security patterns and threat models.
• Join builders early to identify attack paths and shape controls.
• Design scoped authority for identity, access, isolation, approvals, and recovery.
• Embed security across the data lifecycle and monitor access.
• Integrate automated security tests, policy gates, and trusted artifacts.
• Run red-team exercises against AI abuse cases and derive repeatable tests.
• Build runtime protection using signals to detect abnormal actions and exfiltration.
• Support vulnerability triage and incidents with evidence and recovery actions.
• Provide technical recommendations to product and risk leaders with accountability.
• Create reusable controls and reference implementations across teams.
