Job summary

EY is seeking a security leadership professional to embed defense in AI systems across products, data, and deployment lifecycles. You will co‑design threat models, reference architectures, and practical controls with product and engineering teams, ensuring scalable protection and measurable coverage.

You will lead adversarial testing, implement runtime protections, and drive risk‑aware decisions with accountable owners across business functions. A hybrid, national travel role in the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Substantial experience in product, application, cloud, platform, or detection security, including hands‑on ownership of production controls.
• Threat modeling: assess complex systems and turn attack paths into practical engineering measures.
• Production security: secure modern applications, cloud environments, identities, data, networks, and pipelines.
• AI systems knowledge: generative and agentic AI, including retrieval, model access, tool use, evaluation, and runtime behavior.
• Hands‑on automation: build or extend security tests, controls, telemetry, reference implementations, or adversarial assessments.
• Response experience: support vulnerability or incident response and translate lessons into stronger controls.
• Cross‑functional delivery: partner with engineers and risk functions to balance security with user value.

Responsibilities

• Set the security direction and own reusable AI security patterns, control objectives, reference architectures, and threat models.
• Join builders early to identify attack paths and shape controls that fit the product and delivery model.
• Design scoped authority with practical patterns for identity, access, isolation, approvals, and recovery.
• Protect sensitive information across the data lifecycle, preserving confidentiality, integrity, provenance, and monitoring.
• Secure the delivery path with automated security tests, policy gates, trusted artifacts, and safe rollback.
• Test adversarially with red-team exercises and convert findings into repeatable tests and stronger patterns.
• Build runtime protection using evidence and behavioral signals to detect abnormal actions and privilege misuse.
• Strengthen response by supporting vulnerability triage and incidents with clear evidence and recovery actions.
• Advise on residual risk with concise technical recommendations while keeping approvals with accountable owners.
• Build shared capability by creating reference implementations and coaching engineers toward reusable controls.
