Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer - AI & Agentic Systems to secure AI-enabled applications and agentic workflows. You will define secure design patterns, conduct threat modeling, and guide teams on secure development practices across traditional and AI-driven solutions.

As a senior contributor, you will collaborate with engineering, product, platform, and data teams, ensuring responsible AI security controls and governance across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, building, or securing enterprise-scale apps and platforms.
• 5+ years of application security incl. threat modeling, secure design, code review & vulnerability management.
• 5+ years of programming in Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application and AI security standards, guardrails and secure design patterns.
• Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and security assessments for AI-enabled systems.
• Define identity, authorization, data protection, observability, and governance controls for AI environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and responsible AI adoption.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding, threat modeling, and AI security best practices.
