Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer - AI & Agentic Systems to secure AI-enabled applications and agentic workflows across the enterprise. You will define secure design patterns, perform threat modeling, and guide engineering on secure development practices.

You will partner with product, data and privacy teams to implement identity, data protection and governance controls for AI environments and review architectures utilizing LLMs and AI agents.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, building, or securing enterprise-scale applications.
• 5+ years in application security: threat modeling, secure design, code review, and vulnerability management.
• 3+ years developing or securing AI, ML, or generative AI solutions.
• 3+ years of experience with public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Define secure design patterns for AI agents, prompt management, tool integrations, memory handling and autonomous workflows.
• Review architectures using large language models, retrieval augmented generation pipelines, AI agents, and AI-powered workflows.
• Define and implement identity, authorization, data protection, observability and governance controls for AI environments.
• Collaborate with AI platform, engineering, product and data teams to ensure secure and responsible AI adoption.
