Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer - AI & Agentic Systems to help secure the next generation of AI-enabled applications, large language model integrations, and agentic workflows. You will partner with engineering, product, platform, and data teams to embed security into design, development, and operation.

As a senior technical contributor, you will define secure design patterns, perform threat modeling, guide teams on secure practices, and support responsible AI security

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, building, or securing enterprise-scale apps and platforms.
• 5+ years of application security experience: threat modeling, secure design, code review, vulnerability management.
• 5+ years programming in Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or Go.
• 3+ years developing or securing AI, ML, or generative AI solutions.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure design patterns, guardrails, and standards for applications and AI systems.
• Guide engineering teams on secure development practices and threat mitigations for AI-enabled solutions.
• Perform threat modeling, architecture reviews, and security assessments for applications and AI-enabled systems.
• Collaborate with product, privacy, compliance, legal, and risk teams to align controls.
• Evaluate emerging AI security tools and technologies to enhance security posture.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding and AI security best practices.
