Job summary

HID Global is seeking a Senior AI Scientist to lead research and deployment of advanced biometric AI for recognition, PAD, and liveness detection. You will work on CNNs, Transformers, and multimodal techniques across edge and cloud environments.

You will collaborate with compliance, product teams and universities, publishing results and guiding responsible AI governance. Austin or Palm Beach Gardens options offered.

Qualifications

• PhD in related field or equivalent technical doctorate.
• 4+ years of industry, research, or postdoctoral experience developing AI models for production.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize state-of-the-art AI models for biometric applications.
• Develop image processing, video analytics, biometric signal processing, and feature extraction pipelines.
• Apply data governance and quality practices throughout the AI lifecycle.
• Build CV pipelines across visible, infrared, multispectral modalities.
• Deploy models for edge devices, embedded systems, and cloud environments.
• Advance AI explainability and MLOps practices with monitoring and retraining.
