Job summary

HID Global Corporation seeks an AI Scientist to advance biometric AI across sensing platforms, enabling secure identity solutions. Based in Austin, TX or Palm Beach Gardens, FL, you will collaborate with engineering, product, and innovation teams to deploy production-ready AI capabilities for biometric recognition and verification.

You'll design and train models, develop data pipelines, and evaluate performance while applying responsible AI governance and ML lifecycle practices, contributing to

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, ML, CV, Signal Processing or related field.
• 0-4 years of industry, research, or postdoctoral experience.
• Experience with Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, OpenCV, NumPy, Pandas, and Jupyter.
• Knowledge of CNNs, ViT, attention networks, image/video processing and feature extraction.
• Familiarity with face recognition, PAD, liveness detection and biometric verification.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, train, evaluate, and optimize AI/deep learning models for biometric apps.
• Develop image processing, video analytics, biometric signal processing, feature extraction pipelines.
• Define data collection tools, datasets, annotation workflows, benchmarking processes.
• Apply data engineering, data quality, and data governance across the AI lifecycle.
• Support deployment and continuous improvement of biometric AI solutions in production.
• Support AI innovation initiatives and product development activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and business stakeholders.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging AI tech for biometric applications.
• Improve model development, deployment, and evaluation methodologies.
• Support biometric app development across multiple sensing platforms.
