Job summary

HID Global Corporation is seeking a Senior AI Scientist to lead biometric AI research, development, and deployment. You will work on advanced AI models for biometric recognition, liveness, and multi-modal verification across edge and cloud environments.

The role demands a PhD with 4+ years in AI/CV, deep learning, and production-ready deployments, plus expertise in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and AWS SageMaker. Austin or Palm Beach Gardens-based with hybrid/work flexibility is possible.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, ML, CV, Signal Processing or related field.
• 4+ years of industry/research/postdoc AI model deployment experience.
• Strong experience with Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, Scikit-learn, AWS/SageMaker.
• Expertise in CNNs, Transformers, Vision Transformers, attention, generative AI, multimodal methods.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, train, evaluate, and optimize state-of-the-art AI models for biometric applications.
• Build image processing, video analytics, biometric signal processing pipelines.
• Lead end-to-end model lifecycle from research to deployment on edge and cloud.
• Implement MLOps practices for monitoring, validation, retraining and governance.
• Collaborate with product/compliance teams to meet standards and regulatory requirements.
• Publish technical findings, patents, and thought leadership where appropriate.
