Job summary

Pearson seeks a strategic Lead Specialist, AI Scientist to design, build, deploy, and scale production AI/ML capabilities powering learner intelligence and personalized experiences. You will bridge AI research with product delivery, leading end-to-end ML life cycles and employment of MLOps, governance, and scalable architectures.

The role focuses on Generative AI, LLMs, knowledge graphs, and agentic systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable learner and business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Data Science or related field.
• 5+ years building and deploying production AI/ML systems.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG architectures.
• Strong Python and software engineering practices.
• Experience designing scalable AI platforms and AWS cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and operate production AI capabilities powering Pearson products.
• Develop Generative AI, LLM, RAG, and agentic AI solutions with measurable impact.
• Create reusable AI platform components, APIs, and workflows.
• Lead end-to-end AI delivery lifecycle from prototyping to production.
• Establish scalable MLOps/AIOps, governance, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Learning Science teams.
