Job summary

Genentech is seeking a leadership-focused engineer to architect end-to-end AI-enabled drug discovery workflows. You will unify modular ML components with scalable data pipelines and production-grade interfaces.

You will partner with platform teams to implement workflows at scale, ensure reliability, and translate research models into reusable production components for scientists across gRED and pRED.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with 8+ years building computational systems.
• Proven ability to design scalable workflow architectures and data pipelines.
• Experience integrating heterogeneous data sources and models at scale.
• Strong programming in Python and ML frameworks; familiarity with workflow tools.

Responsibilities

• Design computational workflow architecture enabling modular ML components at scale.
• Lead development and SOPs for model integration and data pipelines across gRED/pRED.
• Collaborate with platform engineering to implement workflows at scale and ensure reliability.
