Job summary

HID Global, part of ASSA ABLOY, is seeking an AI Scientist to advance biometric AI solutions across sensing platforms. The role focuses on training, evaluating, and deploying production-ready models for biometric recognition, identity verification, and related image/video analytics.

Collaboration with engineering and product teams is essential. Ideal candidates have a PhD in a relevant field and experience with Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, and OpenCV.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, ML, CV, Signal Processing or related field.
• 0-4 years of industry, research, or postdoc experience.
• Experience with Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, OpenCV, NumPy, Pandas, and Jupyter.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, train, evaluate, and optimize AI/deep learning models for biometric apps.
• Build image processing, video analytics, and biometric signal pipelines.
• Define data collection, labeling, benchmarking processes.
• Support deployment and continuous improvement of biometric AI solutions.
