Dataminr is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to tackle real-time AI challenges, advancing LLMs, multimodal reasoning, and agentic systems. You will train and adapt models that reason over live, global data, shaping products used by organizations worldwide.

You will publish, mentor, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy research into production, with a hybrid work model in NYC or Arlington, VA.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or related field with depth in LLM training/adaptation, distillation, evaluation and benchmarking.
• Publications in NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR/ACL/AAAI/CVPR preferred.
• Hands-on experience training/adapting models at scale with Python and PyTorch.
• Familiar with vLLM, Langfuse for rapid deployment.
• Ability to own research from idea to shipped product.

Responsabilités

• Build and deploy AI models that decide within seconds if a burst of posts signals a real event.
• Advance multimodal and LLM research with agents that aid real-time decision making.
• Ship models into Dataminr products used globally.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and domain experts.
