Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an AI Research Engineer to bridge cutting-edge applied research and production engineering. You will design and ship advanced machine learning systems that solve high-impact business problems with rigorous experimentation and robust production pipelines.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, a Master’s or PhD in a related field, and deep expertise in Python with PyTorch or JAX. You will work remotely within the United States on full-time Direct W2.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, ML, Statistics, or closely related field; or equivalent applied experience.
• Six or more years of combined research and applied ML engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
• Hands-on experience training, fine-tuning, and evaluating deep learning models at non-trivial scale.
• Experience taking ML models from research prototype to production with observability and safeguards.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and evaluate applied AI solutions across NLP, vision, recommendation, and structured data.
• Translate business problems into ML formulations with clear success metrics and evaluation strategies.
• Stay current with research in deep learning and LLMs and assess applicability to internal use cases.
• Build production-quality training and inference pipelines using modern ML frameworks and orchestration tools.
• Collaborate with ML platform engineers to optimize compute, storage, and accelerator resources.
• Develop tooling for dataset construction, labeling, validation, and data quality monitoring.
• Mentor engineers on applied ML methodology and responsible deployment.
