Job summary

Harnham in San Francisco seeks a Senior Product Engineer to design, build, and scale AI-powered products for enterprise clients. You will own features from idea through production, engaging with customers to translate needs into impactful software solutions.

You will work across frontend and backend, shaping architecture, reliability, and performance while collaborating closely with customers and leadership.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern software development practices.
• Demonstrated success building and shipping customer-facing software products.
• Experience developing applications across both frontend and backend environments.
• Strong understanding of scalable system design, architecture and fundamentals.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week.
• Ability to work from the San Francisco, CA office or relocate prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack product features across frontend and backend systems.
• Build scalable applications that process large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Develop intelligent workflow automation capabilities that eliminate manual processes.
• Partner directly with customers to translate requirements into product solutions.
• Own products from concept through production deployment and optimization.
• Design systems that support reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across multiple layers of the stack.
• Evaluate feedback, priorities, and constraints to drive decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for long-term platform growth.
