Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a senior UX designer to shape AI-powered travel experiences. You will own end-to-end design from opportunity framing through launch and iteration, translating complex AI capabilities into intuitive, transparent consumer experiences.

You’ll work across conversational, visual, and multimodal interfaces with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Content Designers to ensure trustworthy, scalable solutions that delight travelers and support business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, UX, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in product design, UX design, interaction design, or related discipline.
• A portfolio demonstrating shipped digital products and a strong foundation in interaction design, visual design, and customer-centered problem solving.
• Expertise in at least one core design discipline (interaction or visual design) with strength across prototyping, research, facilitation, information architecture, content strategy, or UX writing.
• Experience designing complex product experiences in collaboration with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Understanding of how AI-powered experiences should communicate confidence, uncertainty, recommendations, limitations, and failure states.
• Ability to simplify ambiguity and articulate design rationale to audiences ranging from engineers to senior leaders.
• Proficiency with Figma and experience contributing to shared design systems and scalable component libraries.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design of AI-powered shopping experiences, from framing opportunities to launch and iteration.
• Translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive, transparent experiences that travelers can understand and trust.
• Design across conversational, visual, and multimodal interfaces to meet travelers where they are and support different decision-making styles.
