Job summary

Sigma Computing seeks a Senior Product Designer/Design Engineer to create AI-native experiences for our platform. You will prototype in code with Cursor and Claude Code, design AI-driven interactions, and help shape model behavior in collaboration with product and engineering teams.

The role blends interaction design with AI engineering, emphasizing trustworthy, scalable interfaces and practical production code in a hybrid San Francisco setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in interaction design or design engineering with hands-on AI tooling experience.
• Experience shipping real product using AI coding assistants.
• Experience writing evals, agents, prompt libraries, or skills for AI systems.
• Strong fundamentals in interaction design and design decision defense.
• Portfolio with AI-powered or AI-adjacent work.

Responsibilities

• Prototype AI-powered interfaces in code and collaborate with engineering on ships.
• Design and validate interaction patterns for conversational AI.
• Build evaluations, reusable skills, and tooling to improve AI reliability.
• Iterate on model behavior to improve AI design output.
• Set the craft bar for AI-native UX and design principles.
