Job summary

Sigma is hiring a Senior Product Designer / Design Engineer for a 4-day on-site role at our San Francisco office. The candidate will work at the intersection of interaction design and AI engineering, using AI to ship faster, sketching specs, and shaping new interaction paradigms for working with intelligent systems.

You'll prototype in code with Cursor and Claude Code, collaborate closely with engineering, and drive design decisions across prod releases.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in interaction design or design engineering with hands-on AI tooling experience.
• Portfolio includes AI-powered or AI-adjacent product work.
• Experience writing evals, agents, prompts, or skills for AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Use AI to clarify scope, draft specs, surface edge cases, and align teams.
• Prototype in code with Cursor and Claude Code; collaborate with engineering.
• Bring designs to production and iterate on interactions in prod code.
• Design new AI interaction paradigms for conversational interfaces.
• Write evals and build tooling to improve AI reliability and behavior.
• Define AI-native UX patterns and set craft standards.
