Job summary

Teradata seeks a Senior Manager – AI Platform to lead development of a next-generation platform powering autonomous AI-driven agents. You will guide data science and engineering, ensuring scalable, production-ready systems with strong cloud-native practices.

You will mentor a multidisciplinary team, collaborate with AI/ML research and product groups, and drive strategy for memory, planning, tool orchestration, and agentic workflows at scale across the organization.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software/platform engineering or data science.
• 3+ years in engineering management or technical leadership.
• Experience building and scaling distributed systems.
• Backend/API/infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on AI/ML platform experience.
• Experience with LLM integrations and data science pipelines.
• Experience with vector databases and production pipelines.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent communication with executives and stakeholders.
• Passion for autonomous AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and data science roadmap for the AI Platform.
• Define requirements for predictive modeling, memory, planning, multi-agent collaboration, and tool orchestration.
• Design and implement core platform services including API gateways and data pipelines.
• Oversee integrations with third-party tools and infrastructure for scale.
• Guide cloud-native development, observability, and security practices.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing team of backend engineers and data scientists.
• Align platform capabilities with evolving AI product needs.
• Drive code/design reviews and reliability practices across teams.
• Shape long-term vision for agentic workflows powered by data science.
