Job summary

Teradata seeks a Senior Manager - AI Platform to lead the development of a next-generation platform powering autonomous, AI-driven agents. You will oversee engineers and scientists, setting strategy and ensuring performance, extensibility, and production readiness across the platform.

You will drive architecture, roadmap, and collaboration with product and research teams, delivering scalable, cloud-native services and end-to-end data pipelines that enable real-world agent execution at scale.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software/platform engineering or data science with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and data science roadmap for the AI Platform.
• Partner with product, data science, research, and eng teams for capabilities like predictive modeling and planning.
• Drive design and implementation of core platform services (API gateways, vector store integrations, RAG pipelines).
• Oversee integrations with third-party tools and infrastructure for scalable agent execution.
• Guide cloud-native development, distributed computing, observability, and security practices.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing backend/data science team.
• Ensure alignment with evolving AI product needs across lines and apps.
• Drive technical excellence through reviews and reliability practices.
• Contribute to long-term vision for agentic workflows powered by data science.
