Job summary

Teradata is seeking a Senior Manager – AI Platform to lead the development of a next-generation autonomous, AI-driven platform powering agents. You will guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers and data scientists, shaping product strategy and ensuring production-ready performance.

The role requires deep expertise in data science, backend engineering, and scalable architectures, with a focus on applying AI to enterprise workflows and tool orchestration across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software/platform engineering or data science.
• 3+ years in engineering management or technical leadership overseeing AI initiatives.
• Proven scaling of distributed systems or cloud platforms.
• Strong backend and API/architecture experience.
• Hands-on with AI/ML platforms, LLMs, and data science pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AI Platform roadmap with scalable architecture and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, data science, research, and engineering to define capabilities.
• Design and implement core services: API gateways, vector stores, RAG pipelines, experimentation frameworks.
• Oversee integrations with third-party tools and data services at scale.
• Guide cloud-native development, observability, and security practices.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing backend and data science team.
• Align platform capabilities with evolving AI product needs.
• Drive code/design reviews and reliability practices across teams.
• Contribute to long-term vision for agentic, data-driven workflows at scale.
