Job summary

Point is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a small, senior team building AI-powered agents for homeowners. You’ll stay hands-on in the code, set technical direction, and work directly with Product, Ops, and CX to ship applied AI that customers directly interact with.

This remote role offers local or 100% remote options and requires a leader who can drive strategy, execution, and measurable impact while ensuring reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years leading or managing engineering teams
• Experience shipping LLM-powered, conversational AI, or agentic systems
• Track record delivering customer-facing products end-to-end
• Strong ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders
• Deep systems design for reliable, real-time services
• Experience with AI/ML evaluation and observability (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Define the AI technical strategy for CX, including evaluating frameworks and platforms
• Own the technical roadmap for Point's AI-powered customer experience
• Write code alongside your team — review PRs and prototype new capabilities
• Partner with Product, CX, and Ops to ship AI solutions
• Establish success metrics for agent performance and prioritize roadmap
• Design reliable agent architectures for production scale
• Lead and grow a small senior engineering team
• Drive observability and reliability across the AI stack
