Job summary

EY seeks an AI Systems Engineer to build and operate EY’s AI-native platform substrate. You’ll own the cloud-native stack across cloud, on‑prem, edge, and air‑gapped targets, ensuring reliability, portability, and security for regulated client work.

You’ll lead infrastructure engineering, automation, and platform capabilities, enabling downstream teams to deploy AI workflows with velocity and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure and Kubernetes environments.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes distributions and full cluster lifecycle management.
• Experience across cloud, on-prem, edge and air-gapped deployments.
• Strong grounding in networking, storage, and multi-tenancy isolation.
• Experience with GPU infrastructure and scheduling for AI workloads.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps tools.
• Proven track record in regulated or secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the cluster & cloud-native platform: compute, Kubernetes, scheduling, and multi-tenancy.
• Own the infrastructure foundation: Ubuntu/OS, BMC/bare-metal, DPU, and NVAIE.
• Stand up EY Agentic AI environments across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped modes.
• Deliver foundational capabilities: Infrastructure Management, Kubernetes, Cluster Fabric.
• Own cluster lifecycle, autoscaling, GPU pooling, and tenancy boundaries.
• Own secure execution and inference with Ray Serve, vLLM, Triton, and NVIDIA tools.
• Own cognitive and routing: Envoy AI Gateway, semantic routing, model selection.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD, GitOps, Helm to ensure reproducibility.
• Own backup, DR, and cross-environment replication with Velero/PG tools.
• Ensure modular, swappable substrate to minimize vendor lock-in.
