Job summary

Raymond James is seeking a hands-on Lead Engineer to drive the technical vision for an internal AI platform, leading architecture, standards, and high-impact solutions. You’ll spend time coding, reviewing designs, and mentoring engineers to improve scale, reliability, and developer experience.

The role requires leading platform initiatives across Windows/macOS/Linux, building telemetry, secure environments, and expanding AI agent capabilities while aligning with regulatory and security

Qualifications

• 8+ years building enterprise-grade software and platforms.
• 2+ years delivering AI/Large Language Model based solutions.
• Experience with agentic coding tools and IDE integrations.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve platform architecture for AI tooling.
• Lead reviews of code and architecture for core components.
• Build telemetry, observability, and secure sandboxed environments.
• Partner with product teams to shape platform roadmap.
