Job summary

Weedmaps is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build the AI Platform that powers autonomous agents and the AI brain that provides trustworthy business context. You will shape the data and tooling stack across retrieval, embeddings, and knowledge graphs, enabling agents to operate at scale with safety and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 6 years of professional software development experience, including owning production services end to end.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered features or agents to production.
• Experience building retrieval systems: embeddings, vector or hybrid search, chunking and ranking.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate production AI agents, including an autonomous coding agent that works from Jira/Slack and opens PRs.
• Build the retrieval and context layer behind the AI brain, including embeddings and semantic search.
• Extend the MCP server with shared skills, tools and processes for reuse by other teams.
• Own evaluation: create offline tests and online metrics, gate releases based on them.
• Drive cost and latency down by choosing cheapest models and tracking spend on AWS Bedrock.
• Harden agents against prompt injection and memory poisoning, enforce least-privilege access.
