Job summary

IMO Health in Chicago seeks a Sr. Software Engineer to own and evolve internal platforms that support terminology management and knowledge graph initiatives.

You will maintain production applications, APIs, integrations, and AI-enabled workflows that help teams create, manage, and deliver high-quality clinical data. Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python experience and building services or APIs in production.
• Experience deploying AWS cloud-based applications (Bedrock, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Glue, MWAA/Airflow).
• Experience with CI/CD, Git workflows, automated testing, and release practices.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform), and monitoring/alerting.
• Experience with workflow orchestration and data pipelines (Airflow/MWAA, Glue, Lambda).
• Knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL; knowledge of distributed data or search systems is a plus.
• Experience building AI-enabled applications using LLM APIs, RAG, knowledge bases, AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve internal platforms for terminology management and content workflows.
• Build and maintain integrations across applications, APIs, and AI services.
• Contribute to automation and AI-enabled capabilities as needs evolve.
• Provide production support, incident response, and release coordination.
• Manage deployments, infrastructure, monitoring, and AWS services.
• Investigate production issues and implement durable reliability fixes.
• Enable AI-powered workflows with scalable production solutions.
• Develop and debug cloud workflows using AWS Bedrock, Lambda, S3, MWAA.
• Implement testing, monitoring, and operational readiness practices.
• Collaborate with clinical, terminology, product, data science, and engineering teams.
• Mentor teammates and promote secure, maintainable systems.
