Job summary

IMO Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own and evolve our internal platforms powering terminology and knowledge graph initiatives. You will work on production applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-based workflows while introducing new AI capabilities into business processes.

The role emphasizes reliability, scalability, and practical innovation, with a comprehensive benefits package and compensation targeted at $140,000 to $200,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience including backend, DevOps, MLOps, or cloud engineering.
• Strong Python expertise for building APIs, internal tools, and batch jobs.
• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud applications in AWS.
• Experience with AI-enabled applications using Bedrock, LLM APIs, RAG, or related tech.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance internal applications and tooling for terminology management and content delivery.
• Build and sustain integrations across internal apps, databases, APIs, and AI services.
• Design and roll out automation and AI-enabled capabilities to meet evolving business needs.
• Own operational support for AI-enabled production applications and workflows, including incident response and maintenance.
• Manage deployments, configuration, monitoring, and incident response for AWS-hosted services.
• Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement durable improvements.
• Support AI agents and workflow automation as they scale to production.
• Develop and troubleshoot cloud-based workflows using AWS Bedrock, Lambda, Glue, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, MWAA/Airflow.
• Implement testing, monitoring, and operability practices to improve reliability of AI-enabled workflows.
• Partner with clinical, terminology, data science, product, and engineering teams to ensure human review and auditability.
• Mentor team members and promote engineering best practices for secure, maintainable systems.
