Job summary

Qualtrics is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Socrates Experimentation Platform (SEP) to join the Core AI Product Unit. You will help build scalable backend services and data pipelines powering the ML lifecycle using SageMaker Unified Studio, with ownership from design through production.

You’ll collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product managers to deliver end-to-end AI capabilities. You’ll mentor junior engineers, drive architectural decisions, and ensure quality and

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or suitable industry experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, analyzing, and validating large-scale data.
• Familiarity with Python, Java, TypeScript, or Go is a plus.
• Experience with data engineering, schema design, and large-scale datasets.
• Experience owning deployment and operations for large-scale distributed systems.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. AWS CDK) and AWS cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, reliable backend services and data pipelines for the ML lifecycle within SageMaker Unified Studio.
• Own the full lifecycle of features from ideation to delivery with cross-functional collaboration.
• Operate data infrastructure with medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) including quality checks and lineage.
• Maintain production platform services with high availability and participate in on-call rotations.
• Drive self-service tooling and automation to accelerate onboarding of AI projects.
• Mentor other engineers and uphold best practices through code reviews.
