Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a Senior ML Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate an enterprise-grade ML platform on AWS SageMaker Unified Studio. You will lead a migration to a unified, governed environment, spanning data discovery to production deployment and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to software engineering, cloud platforms, or ML.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience in cloud infrastructure or ML platform operations.
• 4+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including SageMaker Studio, Pipelines, Model Registry, Endpoints, and Feature Store.
• 3+ years building and operating production MLOps pipelines, incl. training, versioning, deployment, rollback; proficiency with IaC tools.
• Deep understanding of IAM design for ML, including execution roles and cross-account access management.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to work independently and across teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect cloud-native platform capabilities for production ML workloads and enterprise adoption.
• Stand up SageMaker Unified Studio including domain configuration and project provisioning.
• Build and maintain automated MLOps pipelines for data extraction, training, and deployment.
• Govern model versioning, lineage tracking, and cross-account promotion using Model Registry.
• Configure MLflow for tracking parameters, metrics, and artifacts to enable reproducible experiments.
• Strengthen platform security with IAM, Okta SSO and related controls.
• Deliver reliable real-time and batch predictions with monitoring of performance and data quality.
• Own observability and operational excellence using CloudWatch, Datadog, and RCA.
