Job summary

Brivo, Inc. is hiring a Sr. Software Engineer - AI Platform in Bethesda to lead the architecture and delivery of a high-availability AI platform powering Brivo’s access control and video products.

You will own MCP servers, tool registries, and the end-to-end AI stack, including safety guardrails, real-time streaming, and deep platform integrations, while guiding ADRs and architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, developing, and deploying scalable software solutions.
• 5+ years with Node.js and TypeScript, including serverless on AWS Lambda.
• Experience building MCP/LLM tool servers in production.
• REST API services with Express, authentication, rate limiting, and OpenAPI docs.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI apps, multi-agent orchestration, and prompt engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate MCP servers and tool registries for LLMs and agents.
• Deliver AI capabilities across the platform with cost-efficient, safe workflows.
• Build AI safety guardrails and resumable tool workflows with Redis checkpointing.
• Spend ~70% of time coding in Node.js/TypeScript and AWS Lambda.
• Own cloud infra, deployment pipelines, and CI/CD tooling.
