Job summary

Brivo, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer- NEW GRAD to join our Engineering - Video team in Bethesda. You will contribute to AI-driven security products and MCP servers, participate in daily standups, and own deliverables that reach customers globally.

You'll learn from mentors, collaborate in small teams, and grow into a professional software engineer. A strong foundation in CS/SE and familiarity with Python/Java/TypeScript, SQL, Linux, and Git are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of at least one of: Python, Java, or Node.js/TypeScript.
• Basic understanding of databases and SQL
• Comfort using Linux and running shell commands
• Familiarity with Git or another version control system
• Strong curiosity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
• Intro-level knowledge of networking concepts (IP, ports, protocols, APIs)
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS
• Exposure to Docker or containerized environments
• Familiarity with REST APIs and HTTP fundamentals
• Experience writing automated tests (e.g., Playwright)
• Exposure to authentication/authorization concepts (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, Auth0)

Responsibilities

• Build with cutting-edge AI: Leverage the latest AI models to rapidly prototype, develop, and iterate on next-generation security products, APIs, and MCP servers.
• Deploy at startup speed: Collaborate within small, agile product teams alongside other top-notch product engineers to test new ideas and push code to production on a weekly - or even daily - basis.
• Scale your impact: Capitalize on the powerful, newly integrated Brivo and Eagle Eye platform to build everything from bespoke applications for boutique clients to rock-solid, enterprise-grade security suites.
