Job summary

Expression is seeking an experienced Senior AI Platform Engineer to advance our Agentic AI platform for federal customers. You will own architecture, drive scalable backend services, and shape governance for responsible AI.

Hybrid or remote work with limited travel, eligibility to obtain Secret or Top Secret clearance is required. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product, UX, security, and infrastructure teams, and deliver production-grade AI capabilities across the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 8–10+ years of professional software engineering.
• Experience leading architecture and design for complex production platforms.
• Hands-on experience with agent orchestration and LLM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Define scalable architectures for enterprise AI applications and services.
• Deliver production-grade LLM services and agent workflows.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across teams.
• Develop high-performance Python APIs and scalable backend services.
• Build and maintain the AI platform supporting secure AI workloads.
• Design AI governance capabilities and compliance with security requirements.
• Develop automated testing and evaluation strategies for AI-enabled apps.
• Implement LLM observability, monitoring, and telemetry.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform capabilities.
• Create technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
