Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Sr. Staff Software Engineer (AI Platform) to design and build intelligent software applications, agentic workflows, and production-ready LLM integrations across our product ecosystem.

You will engineer autonomous software agents, implement custom LLM pipelines, and integrate predictive analytics into core applications to automate complex operations, advancing our next-generation software architecture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Distributed Systems.
• 2+ years building AI software, integrating LLMs, or predictive analytics into production.
• Proven track record with LLM APIs & SDKs and agent framework development.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals in Python, TypeScript, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Architect AI-Driven Systems: design production-grade apps, agentic workflows, and LLM integrations.
• Engineer Autonomous Agents to automate complex tasks and workflows.
• Integrate Predictive Analytics to monitor performance and spend in real time.
• Build Observability & AI-driven automation for auditing and patching via LLM interfaces.
• Bridge AI and Platform Architecture with Core AI/ML teams to high-availability services.
• Design RCA workflows with internal AI agents and diagnostic tools.
