Job summary

CEI is seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer to advance an agentic AI platform, focusing on productionizing a prototype into scalable, observable services. You will develop production-grade Python backends, orchestrate multi-agent LLM workflows, and improve tools, guardrails, and observability in a fast-moving Agile setting.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with GCP Vertex AI, LangGraph, and A2A, plus strong prompts, schema design with Pydantic, and CI/CD automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Eng, IT, or related field is required.
• Strong production-grade Python development experience and backend services.
• Experience with asynchronous Python and modern frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance production-grade Python services supporting agentic AI applications.
• Develop and refine multi-agent LLM workflows using frameworks such as Google ADK, LangGraph, A2A, or comparable technologies.
• Implement agent orchestration, tool use, guardrails, structured outputs, and workflow logic.
• Help transition advanced AI prototypes into scalable, reliable production services.
• Establish logging, monitoring, tracing, observability, and operational visibility for AI agents.
• Develop evaluation strategies for LLM and agent performance including safety and accuracy.
• Support A/B testing and experimentation to improve agent performance.
• Build and maintain integrations with services and APIs used by AI agents.
• Work with GCP and Vertex AI for AI services and model serving.
• Apply prompt engineering to improve agent behavior.
• Design structured outputs and schemas using Pydantic.
• Containerize services and support CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with product and engineering in an Agile environment.
• Troubleshoot production issues across AI agents and backend services.
• Iterate on architectures, prompts, tools, and workflows as platform evolves.
