Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, software engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in software engineering with focus on platform engineering, DevOps, or MLOps.
• Proven cloud infrastructure experience on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Strong scripting (Python, Bash, Go) and CI/CD expertise.

This role is pivotal in designing, building, and maintaining the foundational infrastructure that powers our advanced AI and machine learning initiatives. You will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our AI development and deployment environments. This is a remote-first position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in South Africa, with a focus on leveraging talent from regions like Welkom, Free State, ZA. You will collaborate with a distributed team of engineers and data scientists, driving the evolution of our AI platform. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage scalable and robust AI/ML platforms and infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for machine learning model deployment (MLOps).
• Develop and manage containerization solutions (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for AI workloads.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for cost, performance, and scalability of AI services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a significant focus on platform engineering, DevOps, or MLOps.
• Proven experience building and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Argo CD).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows and MLOps principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with a distributed team.
