Job summary

Vizient develops scalable backend systems powering AI/ML products. The role partners with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to productionize LLM apps, RAG pipelines, and agentic AI workflows.

You will build cloud infrastructure with Pulumi, implement IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments while improving observability, security, and reliability across the platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong Python development experience with production backend services.
• Hands-on Pulumi, Terraform, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and infra automation.
• Knowledge of observability and production support practices.
• Familiarity with ML/AI systems, LLMs, and data pipelines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build backend services, APIs, and platform components for AI/ML apps.
• Build scalable cloud infrastructure with Pulumi and IaC; develop CI/CD pipelines.
• Support production deployment of ML models, LLM apps, and RAG workflows.
• Enhance observability with monitoring, logging, tracing, and incident management.
• Define engineering standards for testing, security, maintainability, and cost.
• Define reusable platform patterns and tooling to boost productivity.
• Evaluate AI engineering trends and partner with cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues and mentor engineers on best practices.
