Job summary

Xcel Energy seeks a seasoned AI solutions leader to design and deliver scalable, secure AI systems aligned with enterprise strategy. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with architectural guidance, partnering with data, platform, security, and application teams to integrate AI into core business systems.

Open to Minneapolis or Denver. You will help mature enterprise AI platforms, patterns, and governance, and support implementation teams through execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, Eng, Data Science or related technical field
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) with focus on AI/ML services are assets
• Professional AI/ML or enterprise architecture certifications are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production AI and GenAI solutions meeting scalability and security requirements
• Lead architecture design for reliable, scalable AI platforms and services aligned to enterprise strategy
• Apply AI architecture patterns, guardrails, and governance across solutions to ensure quality and compliance
• Collaborate with engineering to design, build, and optimize AI solutions end-to-end
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise systems and analytics platforms
• Drive enterprise AI governance frameworks, patterns, and best practices
