Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (AI Operations) to lead operational stability, automation, and AI-first transformations for MCPTT deployments. You will own end-to-end production change controls across live carrier networks and build advanced CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires 4+ years in DevOps/SRE or telecom deployments, a CS/CE/telecom degree, and strong collaboration with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

4+ years hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, telecommunications operations, or mission-critical software deployment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent practical experience.
Legal indefinite work authorization is required; employer sponsorship is not available.
Travel none; relocation none.

Responsibilities

Own production change controls for live carrier deployments, including high-risk maintenance windows.
Collaborate with vendor and customer counterparts to integrate features in lab and live environments.
Architect, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate releases.
Evaluate and adopt AI tools for troubleshooting and observability in production workflows.
Develop automated post-deployment health checks and tests for MCPTT servers.
Engage with cross-functional teams (R&D, AI engineering, Product) to integrate AI enhancements.
Provide support during validation test cycles for newly deployed MCPTT applications.
Identify bottlenecks and drive AI-assisted workflow improvements.
Maintain knowledge of TCP/IP networking, SIP, and telecom management tools.
Demonstrate strong communication with external vendors and Tier-1 carriers.
