Job summary

NVIDIA, a leader in AI computing, seeks an outstanding Software Engineer for its US networking software team. You will drive the transformation of AI networking systems, engage with hyperscalers, and influence product and architecture directions with your deep C/C++ expertise.

Lead high‑impact, scalable software solutions and collaborate across engineering, product, and architecture teams to deliver robust, high‑performance networking technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Software Engineering, CS, CE, EE or related field (or equivalent)
• 12+ years of relevant industry experience including technical leadership across complex systems
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols and distributed systems with RoCE/InfiniBand, L1–L4 fundamentals, performance/latency tradeoffs
• Proven low-level software expertise with C/C++ and debugging across firmware, driver, OS, and application
• Demonstrated experience in high-performance networking and system-level debugging, including packet drops and QoS
• Excellent interpersonal skills to explain complex topics and align cross‑functional teams
• Result driven with ability to multitask in dynamic environments

Responsibilities

• Establish yourself as a technical specialist in AI networking products (BlueField DPU, ConnectX); architect, design, and develop HW-accelerated software solutions
• Lead deep technical engagements with hyperscalers involving design-in, bring-up, performance tuning, failure analysis, and production hardening
• Partner with internal teams to translate customer needs into features, reference architectures, tooling, and guidelines
• Drive performance, reliability, and debuggability across customer stacks and translate findings into roadmap items
