Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation is seeking an Software Engineering Manager for its applied research team within the Networking Systems & Software Architecture group in Santa Clara, CA. You will lead a team of systems and networking engineers, shaping the technical roadmap and ensuring delivery of distributed AI communication systems.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience in systems software, networking, and leadership, with strong programming in C/C++, Rust, and Python.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience in systems software, networking, or distributed systems.
3+ years of direct people management experience.
Strong understanding of computer architecture, memory hierarchies, DMA engines, and networking.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Rust and Python.
Ability to scope a problem, set a plan, and deliver results in a fast-paced R&D environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of systems and networking engineers building distributed AI communication systems, libraries, frameworks, and system integrations.
Build the technical roadmap in partnership with principal engineers and architects, balancing near-term delivery with long-term research bets.
Create a culture of technical excellence and open collaboration, managing project planning, resource allocation, and delivery timelines across concurrent workstreams.
