Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III in Jersey City to join an agile team delivering trusted market-leading technology. You will design and deploy secure, scalable software across multiple domains, leveraging AI-assisted tools and modern cloud services in a large corporate environment.

You will contribute to code quality, architecture artifacts, and data-driven insights while applying CI/CD, security, and resiliency practices throughout the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of applied software engineering experience
• Experience in system design, development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience with Java, Python and SQL in a large corporate environment
• Experience using enterprise AI-assisted development tools with validation for correctness, performance, and security
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and secure handling of outputs

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting beyond routine approaches
• Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms
• Leverages AI coding tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity with peer review and secure coding
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation value
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met
• Gathers and analyzes data to develop visualizations and reports for continuous improvement
• Identifies hidden patterns in data to drive coding hygiene and system improvements
