Job summary

Ziosk, a leading provider of pay-at-the-table solutions, seeks a hands-on SDET to join our Plano, TX team. The role focuses on AI-native quality practices, automation, and risk assessment across Android devices, cloud services, APIs, and web apps.

You will design and implement automated tests, drive release confidence, and coach engineers on quality practices to raise the overall engineering quality bar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software development, test automation, or quality engineering.
• Experience developing automated tests using languages such as C#, Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience validating complex software features and end-to-end workflows.
• Experience testing APIs, web, mobile, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, suites, utilities, and tools to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Create automated tests for UIs, APIs, back-end services, integrations, and end-to-end workflows.
• Use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate test design and defect investigation while ensuring accuracy.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support quality gates.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate to improve testability and release velocity.
• Assess quality outcomes and validate product behavior across platforms and restaurant-facing experiences.
• Plan risk-based testing for complex features and cloud services.
• Support release readiness through validation and regression testing.
• Investigate and troubleshoot defects with root-cause analysis.
