Job summary

Jobtailor in Austin, TX seeks an experienced software engineer to design and build scalable .NET services and React frontends across Web Shell, Agentic Ecosystem, and Endpoint Observability. You will own event pipelines, ML-assisted features, and enterprise-grade security and reliability.

You will collaborate with EMEA teams, apply AI coding agents in production, and uphold high standards for correctness, security, and maintainability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of production software engineering experience.
• Strong C#/.NET expertise.
• Solid React skills.
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, including microservices and messaging.
• Experience with SQL databases, non-relational data stores, cloud platforms, containerized deployments, and event-driven or streaming architectures at scale.
• Regular use of AI coding agents within production codebases.
• Accountability for correctness, security, and maintainability of delivered software.
• Experience exposing capabilities to AI systems via tool and function interfaces, structured APIs, MCP servers, or similar model-facing integration patterns.
• Understanding of AI model failure modes, including hallucinations, context degradation, prompt injection, non-determinism, and silent regressions.
• Effective mitigation strategies for AI model failure modes.
• Ability to critically evaluate generated code at scale and reject unsafe outputs.
• Ability to use tests, evaluations, and architectural context to ensure reliability.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset for working with teams across EMEA.
• Strong interest in shaping AI-native engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable .NET services and React frontends across multiple domains.
• Build event, telemetry, and audit pipelines for ingestion, correlation, retention, export, and access control at enterprise scale.
• Expose platform capabilities safely to AI systems and third-party agents through MCP tools and typed APIs.
• Deliver production features in a microservices codebase with AI coding agents, contract tests, and schema validation.
• Debug distributed, partly model-driven systems and build tracing for non-deterministic behavior.
• Maintain service-layer context for agents, including API contracts and architectural decisions.
• Own performance, scalability, reliability, and AI-assisted cost profiles for shipped services.
• Partner with product management and EMEA anchor teams to refine requirements and shape architecture.
