Job summary

Autodesk, through MaintainX integration, is seeking a senior backend platform engineer to lead the platform engineering division. You will shape architecture and governance for the backend platform, drive AI-native workflows, and coordinate cross-team initiatives to accelerate delivery across the org.

You will mentor senior engineers, influence roadmaps, and maintain high standards for scalability, reliability, and developer experience.

Qualifications

Experience building AI-native platforms or AI-assisted workflows in a platform/org.
Deep expertise in distributed systems with cross-organ impact.
Exposure to cloud, IaC, CI/CD, GraphQL federation, event-driven systems, and developer experience.
Expert-level English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Shape the technical direction, governance and architecture of the backend platform.
Integrate AI-native workflows into the platform across the org.
Identify and resolve cross-cutting technical challenges before blockers.
Define and evolve platform-wide standards, patterns, and abstractions.
Influence roadmap priorities and drive alignment across teams.
Drive adoption of changes and mentor senior engineers.
Lead multi-squad initiatives with minimal direction.
Participate in on-call rotation.
