Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Program Manager, AI & Model Governance to lead the development, integration, and enforcement of model governance practices across CAI labs. This role ensures compliance with governance policies while driving operational efficiency and stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities include organizing governance committees, designing PDLC-aware processes, and partnering with AI/ML teams to align workflows with governance stages.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in AI or model governance, risk management, or compliance within data science or analytics environments.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, machine learning engineers, product owners, IT developers, and governance bodies.
• Experience designing and implementing governance processes from scratch with documentation and enforcement mechanisms.
• Experience leading governance committees or working groups and delivering tangible outcomes under tight timelines.
• Familiarity with AI/ML lifecycle tools and platforms (AWS, JIRA, MLFlow) and model validation frameworks.
• Ability to synthesize practitioner feedback and advocate for governance improvements with enterprise stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Organize and drive the agenda for CAI’s Model Governance Operations Committee.
• Design and document governance processes integrated with PDLC and Model Development Life Cycle frameworks.
• Liaise with CAI labs to drive governance implementation and evolution.
• Coordinate with AI/ML product owners and scrum leads to align agile workflows with governance stages.
